Mindfulness is anchoring your awareness in the present moment, in an open, accepting and non-judgmental way. By living more in the present moment, you can leave the past behind you, let the future take care of itself and really show up for your life. Through mindful yoga and meditation, we learn to really pay attention to our mind, body, thoughts and feelings and we begin to truly experience the richness of life around us and within us.

Darlene is a nurse with extensive background in Community Health. Over the past 15 years, she has been practicing different styles of meditation and movement. Darlene took professional training with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 2003 and is a facilitator of the
Stress Reduction Program (MBSR) She is a certified Kripalu & Yin Yoga teacher and offers classes and workshops in Yoga, Meditation and Stress Reduction in hospital, community, corporate and retreat settings in York Region and the GTA .
Darlene also provides Thai Yoga Massage at her home in Newmarket
This 8 week educational program is an intense learning opportunity and requires real commitment from participants to practice meditation at home every day using CDs and handouts.
In facilitating this course, my intention is to teach people how to take better care of themselves in order to live healthier and more adaptive lives.
This program is presently being offered in association with Hospice King-Aurora for Hospice clients as well as the general public
